Bill Graham is the Strategic Global Engagement, Office of the President, the Internet Society (ISOC).He joined the staff of the Internet Society in December of 2007 to lead ISOC's strategic global engagement activities. He is responsible for the Internet Society's efforts to develop strategic positions on key Internet issues and to engage the highest level of global policy makers on emerging issues.



Before joining ISOC, Bill was Director of International Telecommunications Policy in the Canadian federal government department of Industry, where he was responsible for coordinating Canadian participation in multilateral organizations, such as the ITU, CITEL in the Americas, and APEC TEL in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as bilateral relations on telecommunications policy issues. He was substantively in charge of Canada's participation in the UN World Summit on the Information Society, served as Vice-Chair of the ICANN GAC, and is a member of the UN Internet Governance Forum Advisory Group.



Bill joined the Canadian government in 1988, and held management positions including, promotion of community networking and Internet use and adoption in Canada. He also worked in industry as Director, Government Relations for Teleglobe, Inc. He holds a Masters of Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Pacific and Oriental Studies from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
