IGF 2018 Village Logistics

IGF Village Position
The IGF Village will be positioned inside of the UNESCO HQ in Paris. Please see the ‎two floor plans for the exact names of the space areas and individual booth locations (Floor Plan ‎A for 1-24 booths and Floor Plan B for 25-56 booths).‎

Total Number of booths
Total number of booths is 56. Pending requests will be accommodated, in case someone of the ‎approved organizers with cancel participation or will be willing to partner with another organizer.

How the booths will be positioned/allocated?
The final allocation of booths will be done in alphabetical order. The number under which your ‎organization is listed on the IGF website corresponds to the same number on the floor plan that ‎marks the allocation of your booth. Please see the numbered list of booths here and ‎compare that number with the numbers in the attached floor plans (for booths 1-24 please see the ‎Floor Plan A, and for booths from 25-56 please see the Floor Plan B).‎

Booth descriptions (dimensions and facilities)‎
Each booth will contain one desk and two chairs. Please see here the design of the desk with its ‎dimensions.‎
Each booth will have 1 power plug (voltage is 230 V and the frequency is 50 Hz).‎
The whole IGF Village area will be covered with a stable WiFi network.‎
Each booth will contain one A3 format sheet of solid paper that contains the name of the ‎exhibitor, attached to desks.‎
The booths will not be surrounded by any panels. However, there is a wall behind each of the ‎desks, and organizers are allowed to display their materials by attaching it to those walls, with ‎taking full responsibility not to damage walls.‎
Booths will not have any lockable cabinets.‎
Desks at the booths do not have any drawers.‎
Booths organizers are responsible for their belongings. It is advised not to leave valuable items ‎unsupervised.‎

What can you bring to your booth space?‎
You are allowed to bring your info-materials (banners, backdrops, posters, publications and ‎similar, including promo t-shirts as some did last year) that are directly connected to your work ‎and are of non-commercial nature.‎
Please note that the it is now allowed to have any food and drinks inside the Venue. Also, the ‎coffee/tea machines or similar electronic devices to be at the booth area are not allowed.‎

Is there a printing service at the venue?
Yes, there is a print cafe at the venue, where you can print materials.‎
Can you ship any materials to the venue prior to the meeting?‎
Unfortunately, this will not be possible.‎
However, it will be possible that the organizers deliver their materials with a vehicle on Friday, 9 ‎November 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 15:00 p.m. local time in Paris.‎
It will not be possible to park the vehicles inside the venue, but just to enter, drop off the ‎materials and leave the venue. There will be volunteers to help putting materials inside of the ‎Venue.‎

When is the opening and closing of the IGF Village?‎
The IGF Village will be open from Monday morning, 12 November, when the programme starts. ‎The organizers can enter the Venue starting from 07:00 a.m. local time in Paris. The booth areas ‎will need to be cleared by 17:00 p.m. local time in Paris, on the last day of the meeting (14 ‎November).‎
