Ms. Youn Jung Park holds a Ph.D in Information, Science and Technology. She is a specialist in Internet infrastructures including Internet addresses. She works as a senior research fellow in the department of Economics of Infrastructures, Delft University of Technology. Her current research in information science revolves around the political economy of country code top level domains and multilingual domain names.
Ms. Park serves on Korea's Advisory Committee of the National Internet Development Agency (.KR registry). In the past, Ms. Park represented the Asia Pacific Networking Group (APNG), where she served as a names council member on the Non-Commercial Domain Names Holders' Constituency. She also created and chaired the WG-Review, which initiated the review of Domain Name Supporting Organization to improve ICANN. While working as the acting chief executive officer of Multilingual Internet Names Consortium, she helped introduce the concept of multilingual domain names to the ICANN community. She also co-founded the WSIS Civil Society Internet Governance Caucus.
