1. Connecting All People and Safeguarding Human Rights

The UN Secretary-General’s proposed Global Digital Compact (GDC) has as its first principle to “Connect all people to the Internet, including all schools”.

IGF 2022 will be organized in a hybrid format, welcoming participants joining physically onsite in Addis Ababa as well as those joining online. The goal is for everyone to have a full and equal experience when participating in IGF sessions. We recognise this is an aspirational goal, but it is important to set the trend for future IGFs.
